When do your senses lie?
You've forgotten something before.
Been sure you knew where it was, only to be distracted.
Found other things crawling at the edge of your perception. Sounds that don't seem to match what you expect. Maybe it was birds, maybe it was the wind.
Perhaps you remember your first time on psychedelics, or in the presence of death. Maybe even sex.
Either way, you've felt it by now.
At least once.
Uncertainty.
Like the ground beneath your feet might be empty.
Say you’re alone and your foot is broken. You need to get to water quickly. Is it important to remember that it’s broken?
Hoffman, Singh, & Prakash say no.
