However, it is also a possession.
The spirit that possesses comes from the collective.
As the history of Greek theater tells us.
The masks they wore let figures that lived only in the collective mind come out and play.
Just so, the personhoods we take on today come from our society- once hidden and dissipated, now sharp and palpable.
