Bypassing Language

On Translation Error

Have you ever heard the Italian saying, “tradutorre, traditore”?

Translator, traitor.

I noticed how those I love would sometimes hear me speaking differently to others in gatherings.

They felt betrayed by these contradictions.

But everyone had different languages. I spoke to each in their own.

Which worked- until they heard me with others.

The solution: bypass language entirely.

Instead of pointing with words, we can touch meaning directly- together.

Create ritual moments where we share in whatever emerges beyond words.

You don’t need to speak the same language to look at a sunset together, or to a pass a ball to someone else.
